The cup is decorated with the orchard fruit pattern on the exterior and has a solid gold interior. The saucer is also decorated similarly with a gold centre. Both are signed D. Jones. The mark on the underside of each piece was used between 1934 and 1939. Both pieces are hand inscribed with the pattern number C746.
